Terms of Service
What the service does
LiteScreenLocker can lock or shut down a bound computer on your request. It can never unlock one: unlocking always takes your password at the keyboard. This limit is a feature, not a defect.
Your responsibilities
Bind only computers you own or are authorized to manage. Using the service to lock or shut down other people's machines without authorization is prohibited.
The person present comes first
Anyone physically at the computer can cancel a countdown, quit the Agent, or remove it. The product does not fight the person on site — remote control deliberately loses to local control.
No warranty
The service is provided as is, during public beta. We do not promise uninterrupted operation, and we are not liable for downtime or losses caused by a locked or shut-down machine. Shutdown is reported as "requested": operating systems may hold it back for unsaved documents.
Your account
You access the service with a Lite Lake unified account (UC) and must follow the UC terms. You can unbind a device at any time; unbinding revokes its access immediately.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product evolves. The current version is always on this page; continued use after a change means acceptance.
